Build a wormery and make compost for a garden or just to cut down on overflowing our landfills. Your own wormery has great benefits such as you have your own 100% natural fertilizer for a vegetable garden or house plants or flower beds. You also get rid of your left over food and don't have to feel that it is a total waste.
To build a womery is fairly easy and quick, a great family project. You can build a wormery out of simple items like a plastic 2 litter soda bottle, cardboard, a few different types of soil (dirt, sand, loam or whatever types of soil you have locally) about 5 worms and some water. It really is that simple.
